Commentaire
The Council of the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward considered the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and a proposal for its replacement with the Species Conservation Act, 2025 contained within Bill 5: Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025 at a meeting on May 13, 2025. We request the province maintain the existing legislation as the proposed change will weaken important protections for endangered species.
