Stop Bill 5! Our irreplaceable natural environment was already under threat. It already takes too long for endangered species to be recognized and protected resulting in untold losses.
According to Mr Ford, a building (think OSC) lasts only 50 years. This proposal will wipe out ecosystems that have existed for millennia — in the name of speeding up short term development projects. Once lost they cannot be recovered.
Access to nature is a fundamental right recognized by the United Nations — access to pavement is not.
Leave the job of determining reasonable environmental protection measures in the hands of the people who have devoted their lives to understanding ecosystems. They need jobs as much as construction workers and arguably have done far more to deserve it.
Doug Ford has lost all credibility as a Conservative and has lost any support for the Conservative party now and for generations.
