I am very alarmed that this bill is only to make it easier to destroy ecosystems. Ontario is a beautiful province, and taking shortcuts for the benefit of a few. I do not wish to see the destruction of our environment that will undoubtedly hurt us all in the long term. We need to make sure environmental protection remains important, as this will also protect us. A thriving ecosystem with protected species and biodiversity is beneficial to the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we grow our crops with. Ultimately, a protected environment, including the animals and habitats within, must remain important to us. In the long run, damaging the environment will cost us much more than a highway can benefit us.
