Bill 5 is a step backward. It dismantles environmental safeguards while offering no real solutions to the housing crisis. As an urban planner, I know that sustainable growth comes from infill housing, transit-oriented communities, and strong environmental policies -- not bulldozing nature for sprawl. Ontario has the tools to create affordable, connected, and green communities. We don’t need to sacrifice the environment to do so.
