I would like to voice my deep concern regarding the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act and the proposed Species Conservation Act. We are at a critical time - as a province, a country and globally - there is so much pressure on natural systems, and our ecosystems are in decline, all while we face a climate crisis. This is a time to prioritize protection of species and natural spaces. This is a time to protect what we have left and regenerate what we've lost for the sake of the overall health of our provinces, including for the health of Ontarians (both physical and mental). I urge the Doug Ford government to stop these changes.
