I am surprised and alarmed…

I am surprised and alarmed that the Ontario government would scrap the Ontario Endangered Species Act and put our province's long-term health at risk for short-term economic gain. Please reconsider your decision and re-write the bill so that it continues to protect our habitat.

I believe it is especially important to give municipal and First Nations governments veto powers and significant opportunity to study how the land in their region will be used, since the local communities will feel the effects of any changes.

This is especially important for rural communities who wish to preserve and protect farm land.
