The fact that Bill 5 is even being considering in 2025 is astonishing. Why are we moving backwards instead of forwards? When did economic development become more important than species at risk? As a student in a Master's of Science program, the integral value and importance of endangered species is common knowledge! This Bill would introduce irreversible damage to the environment. Please, consider re-thinking Bill 5, for the future of young people in Ontario who would have to grow up without the hundreds of endangered species that call Ontario home.
