As a Canadian citizen and resident of Ontario I strongly oppose the proposed Bill 5. I believe the consequences of Bill 5 would be devastating for our precious ecosystems, the land and the animals that make Ontario unique. I believe it is critical to make decisions about any major projects that affect the natural environment with Indigenous leaders and environmental scientists, which is why I am completely against the idea of “special economic zones” that Bill 5 advocates for. I hope this bill is reconsidered.
