I am extremely concerned…

I am extremely concerned about this proposal. I oppose the prioritization of financial gain over species protections. I do no support the sweeping powers that this proposal would provide to the provincial government to suspend laws and regulatory measures at the expense of the environment. I believe Indigenous perspectives should be considered and addressed prior to any large-scale developments and that species protections and environmental reviews should be strengthened to prioritize avoiding and reducing long-term negative impacts on the environment, rather than the weakening proposed through the proposed change. As an Ontario citizens, I feel that acceptance of this proposal would not have the interest of Ontario residents at heart and I urge for the proposal's withdrawal.
