Thank you for this opportunity. As someone who has spent 45 + years at Winnetka and Engineer lakes, I am deeply disappointed about this proposal, and that I am just hearing of it now.
We've had decades of gatherings amongst our small community at 'the point', and we've all helped to develop the walking / biking / hiking trails out back (mostly just from using them regularly, and the odd yellow ribbon indicating which trail system you're on).
The family that seems to be trying to fracture the community, will likely not allow anyone to be on these trails in the future. I'm not sure what justification there is for these pieces to be suddenly 'owned' by them and for their exclusive use.
Can the trail system and the point be restored as Treaty 3 / Crown land?
I oppose the proposed changes to the back trails and the point. I understand the reasoning for them to have their own property that a cabin / septic field is on, to be for their own use.
