Please conduct an environmental assessment and proper, meaningful engagement. It is important to understand all impacts of a project in order to do a project right. We only have one environment and it sustains all life including humans'. E.g., polluting it will only negatively impact health, cost more to clean up, and take longer than if it was known from the beginning that pollution was a concern and it could have been prevented. Often it's the people nearby a project who also know things that could make or break a project.

Please work with the public and environment interests at heart, and be respectful while doing so. That builds trust, ensures accountability, transparency, and responsibility. Doing things right in the first place will be the most efficient overall and the public will be happiest when they are respected.
