Somewhat difficult to make comments on this application for a permit when important details are not being provided. It’s very concerning when the permit is being rated Category 3, which we would have to assume means a complete removal of water from the watershed, or will there be settling ponds allowing the water to filter back into the ground, or remain as contaminated surface water. Would there be a filtration system allowing the water to enter back into the watershed without impacting the Saugeen River. How does the volume of water to be taken impact drinking water, residential private wells, small town ponds that provide water to residential/commercial/some business, etc. More details to the public are required before providing an approval.
