The pit does not require 7 million litres of water a day for wash ing aggregate. The company needs to develop an enclosed water recycling system that man concrete batch plant, crushing operations operate throughout the province.

The Saugeen already suffers from poor water management whether it is nutrient loading, dam management or lack there of. The system does not and can not sustain such a draw.

Revise the project, deploy recycling systems that will not cause such an impact.
