In addition to my previous comment ID 157591, I request that continuous air monitors be installed around all sides of the landfill property, under conditions approved and enforced by the Ministry. While the Ministry oversees and enforces compliance, the operator (GFL) should be responsible for installing, maintaining, and reporting data. Monitoring should include nitrogen oxides, ammonia, particulate matter (PM2.5/PM10), total reduced sulfur (TRS), and ozone.

Given the persistent issues and concerns associated with landfill operations over the last three years, effective, accessible, and transparent monitoring is essential. It would help limit health risks, improve accountability, and provide the community with confidence that the treatment facility is operating without negatively impacting residents.
