I wish to register my deep opposition to Strada Aggregates Inc.'s application for a water taking permit.

Taking 5 million litres of water per day for 10 years will do unfathomable damage to the local watershed affecting the quality and quantity of well water, water available for livestock operations and other farming activities like crop irrigation.

We know that water takings have the highest potential of causing unacceptable environmental impact. Why would any government allow this kind of damage to happen to its citizens, their properties and livelihoods.

Should this permit be allowed, who will be responsible for the damage that will be caused to our water? Strada will be long gone. The Ontario taxpayer should not be responsible for fixing Strada's damage.

Please, do not issue a water taking permit to Strada Aggregates Inc..
