I do not support this water…

I do not support this water taking for bottling from Well 1. The initial permit is for agricultural purposes and water bottling is different. This will mean privatizing water taking and increasing plastic garbage for private profit not the public good.
If water is used by agriculture it remains in the watershed. If water taking is for bottled water it is taken out of the watershed and transported adding up GHG.
This permit should be denied. Our Province needs to protect our ground water from over extraction, not encourage it! Look at the problems in Iran right now. With the climate crisis we need to take protection of Ontarios freshwater resources more seriously.
