This proposal is flawed and…

This proposal is flawed and should not be allowed to proceed for three main reasons:
1. Traffic congestion at Trafalgar and Cornwall/Speers is already bad. This proposal will make it exponentially worse. Even if most of the new residents commute to work, they will have cars for other activities with will increase the traffic and parking issues into downtown and throughout the corridor north to Dundas
2. This proposal does not conform to the town's Official Plan. The town should be able to manage its own affairs and has done so with a well thought out plan. This proposal disregards the plan and allows the developers to "end run" the accepted development and planning process.
3. This proposal will negatively impact and potentially overload local infrastructure such as hydro, water and sewer systems and any upgrades will cause further disruption and costs that will have to be borne by other ratepayers, which is completely unfair and unacceptable.
