Oakville has maintained a small town vibe with some high end properties. Although a multi condo project is need of hour for the province but a project like this is going to affect the basic fabric of the town. It's very unfortunate to see the vision of smart city is missing in the design on this project as it can be developed as high-end small mini smart town community integrating well with the spirit of town of Oakville. There are few components of smart city design:

1) Creating local jobs
2) 100% Net-zero including garbage recycling, renewable energy, battery storage, energy efficiency, water conservation, smart transportation and smart education.
3) Infrastructure including roads and frequency of trains. Project does not envisage connecting Pearson from Oakville. Trafalgar bend is already so congested on 403; what's the plan to remove existing congestion and build of future 7000 residents.
