The traffic congestion in the proposed development area is already unmanageable because of inadequate road infrastructure. It currently takes 20 minutes to exit the Oakville GO station parking lot during rush hour, & parking is already limited. This development will further exacerbate the traffic congestion & make it a nightmare to commute to work by GO train, especially since many employers are now requiring full office attendance. This development will benefit investors & not provide affordable family-oriented housing needed such as stacked or row townhouses or 3 bedroom low rise condominiums that young families can actually inhabit. There is already a glut of these small condo units in Oakville. I am a longtime Conservative supporter, but I will not be voting Conservative if this ill- conceived development, which will have a highly detrimental impact on everyday living for myself & my family, is approved.
