I have been following this whole process quite closely for several years. It is clear to me that MZO approval for this project is absolutely the wrong way to go. Oakville's OPA 70 meets all the Provincial Government's requirements while implementing them through standard planning processes which are in place to ensure the success of any project. The MZO process ignores all that. The big question that comes to my mind is what is the Provincial Government up to, that requires them to circumvent the processes they already have in place for appropriate interaction with municipalities?
