Oakville needs sensible and gentle density in the area around mid-town Oakville.
As a resident of Oakville, the plan proposed by the Town of Oakville is the right one for those who will be impacted most - residents of Oakville.
We don't need 40+ story towers filled with shoe-boxed sized apartments that no one can live in.
We need 1000 sq ft apartment dwellings - that are comparable to the bungalows that used to be built in Ontario in the 50s/60s. We need alternatives to skinny, stacked homes and tiny shoe-boxed sized apartments.
We need dignified and diverse living alternatives than what is currently offered by our housing stock.
