This proposal is simply out of place in Oakville. The idea of putting giant 50+ story towers in the middle of a TOWN goes against everything that Oakville is, and shatters why 200,000+ residents, from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, have chosen to call Oakville home. This is a town, not a metropolis. I’m not opposed to developing that land, but it needs to be done responsibly. E.g. nothing >10 stories. 50 stories is just ridiculous. It’s not much different than building something like the CN Tower in the middle of a residential community. This development would be A complete eye sore, blocking the lake from half the town, a logistical nightmare, and most importantly, an environmental disaster for the 16 mile creek valley. Please give your head a shake and re-think this!
