As a resident of Oakville, I do not support the Province’s Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) for our Midtown Oakville plan.

I support our council’s plan for Midtown (OPA-70) that encourages growth but does not place an overwhelming stress to our existing infrastructure (i.e. Local roads, transit, the GO, QEW). Unlike the MZO, Oakville’s plan proposes much-needed affordable family housing which would result in a more livable, viable and flourishing community.

Our Town Council’s Plan was developed with much public consultation and deliberations. These MzOs are not respecting Oakvillians' desire for the better alternative. I vote NO for these MZOs.
