As a resident of South East Oakville, I have experienced the traffic congestion along Cornwall and Trafalgar Roads daily during rush hour as well as certain times on holidays and weekends. It's already crazy and adding another 8-10,000 apartment dwellers in the area is poor planning. The Oakville Town Council has put forward a plan that is still to much density, however it is a reasonable compromise for all parties including developers and residents.
Oakville has been a refuge from the extreme density of Toronto, Etobicoke and Mississauga for many years and should stay that way.
