Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments on the Proposed Changes to
Various Regulations Under the Planning Act to Facilitate the Electronic Submission of
Information and Materials to Approval Authorities and Allow Notices to be Given
Electronically to the Province. Town staff are in support of electronic submissions of
information and materials to approval authorities and to allow notices to be given
electronically to the Province. Once the system is in place, the Town would encourage
the Province to provide related training to municipal employees to ensure easy
transition and implementation.

In addition, Town staff would encourage the Province to establish a grant program to
support municipalities in establishing a fully electronic planning and building review
submission program.
