I object to the expansion of the Elginburg Mega Quarry Expansion for the following reasons:
. increased commercial traffic travelling Unity Road
. increased traffic collisions at unsignalized intersections; Unity Road and Kingston Road 38
. increased traffic at signalized intersections with inadequate turning radius for comercial vehicles; Unity Road at Sydenham Road
. depreciation of pavement and gravel shoulders due to heavy commercial vehicles
. increased use of LCV; Large commercial vehicles
. increased noise
. increased dust
. high speed of trucks travelling in a 50km zone (Elginburg) and 60km zone (Unity Road at Kingston Road 38)
. 24 hour operation in residential area
. blasting done resulting in damage to foundations and wells
. decrease in property value to private homes
. inability to sell private homes as a result of a close proximity to a mega quarry operation
