Well over 100 residences downstream on the Ottawa river draw their potable water from this river. Allowing this proposed enterprise to rid themselves of ground contaminants directly into this big river through Charlebois drain or other, represents an infringement of acquired rights by its neighbours. Our home is drawing water from an artesian well 69 feet deep. We are situated approximately 1 kilometer north of a large steel mill and some 5 km east of the proposed Colacem,. Our water is already coloured with steel residues although considered potable for now. Should this change, our only option will be to connect to the river for water since municipal water is not available or even in the plans according to our municipal councillor. I believe a second heavy industry near this built up prime residential zone is one too many. There is no reason to locate a cement powder making plant where proposed other than it is benefitting the promoter financially 100% Please do not allow our environment to deteriorate
