I do not think that this type of business should be located in the proposed area due to population base and agricultural base present surrounding the site. The main employer close to the proposed site has invested millions in an environmental dust collector. This cement plant should not be allowed to build here as this steel plant has cleaned up the environment and now the cement plant will add more contaminents into the air.. Also the old Pulp and paper mill in Hawkesbury is being cleaned up by taxpayer dollars and this new plant will re contaminate what they have cleaned up. The Quebec group want to build here to line their pockets and keep their own air and water systems clean. There are plenty of other locations further away from people and agriculture. Build it in those areas. This plant will also create more traffic causing emissions from the vast number of trucks that will be put into this area. Not to mention the safety issue of more traffic. Also this extra traffic will deteriorate the already worn out roads in the area. Taxpayers will then once again have to pay for the re building of the roads. But the main issue here is the protection of the air, water, soil, river , trees and the wildlife in the surrounding areas. WE DO NOT WANT THIS PLANT BUILT HERE , GET IT IN YOUR HEADS. BUILD IT ELSEWHERE.
