To whom it may concern, I and my family are adamantly opposed to this project seeing the light of day. The are a multitude of reasons for this and the main one being the impact on our health and well being. The proposed plan will directly impact the health of the people of my community and surrounding areas. We are taking about the pollution of air, ground water and waterways to mention a few. Not only will my family and i breath in these pollutants but it will potentially also make its way into our ground water which we rely on for drinking water. Our area has a very high rate of cancer as it is. IVACO and the former CIP are considered by many one of the causes of these high rates. The rates in our area, like the ones in Cornwall are skewed because our cancer patients are treated in Ottawa and therefore become part of Ottawa's stats. Everyone in my community knows someone and/or has a family member that has died or survived cancer. The long term environmental and health impact outweighs the economical advantages. Many in my community are also worried about the livelihood. Dairy Farmers, agriculture, organic farmers, organic beer brewers, live stock just to name a few. Furthermore, homeowners are very worried about the impact this will have on the value of their homes. PLEASE STOP THIS PROPOSED PLAN - NOT IN OUR BACKYARD
