The proposal being put forward by the MNR for Rondeau lease renewals shows vrtually no input from the people most affected by the proposal, namely the Rondeau cottagers.

The discriminatory lease being proposed treats people who are single, young or elderly very differently, whereas under the current lease there is a much greater sense of fairness. The ability to retain the cottage within your family regardless of health or age, by virtue of lease transfer has been wiped out in the new lease and replaced by a health and good fortune 'crap shoot' !

How can the MNR deny access to families of lease holders the right of lease transfer during the life of the leaseholder, yet saddle these same people with the cost and responsibility of the cottage removal at the of the leaseholders life? The MNR can't have it both ways, pick one or the other!

Market value assessment to determine cottage lease rates, the MNR proposal results in the cottages having zero value and since anything multiplied by zero is zero, then I am all for market value assessment.

Our current leases expire at the end of 2017, where does 2014 come into the equation?
