I am one of the residents living close to the Coronation area, and am writing to against proposed Coronation Drive waste processing plant. For a plant like this shall be kept far away from any residential area, but this proposed location is just in the residential, park and waterfront area. The impact to our neighbourhood will be devastating, and the noise, pollution, health, safety and traffic issues are substantial. It is quite clear that this operation is not appropriate for this location.

Therefore, I’d like to ask the Ministry of Environment to:
1. Reject the application. Relocate the plant to another area, such as an industrial area
2. Extend the deadline for submission of comments to July 24, 2020 due to COVID-19
3. Hold a public meeting
4. Request that the City of Toronto Public Health Department conduct a study of the health impacts of this proposal on the affected communities, and City of Toronto Traffic Management do a detailed study to assess the impact of the significant additional heavy truck traffic in residential neighbourhoods.
