Our entire household is against this project. If approved this plant would produce 1,240 tonnes of digestate waste every day and transport it using over 100 trucks through the community to Highway 401. Trucking waste through our area communities presents both health and safety concerns .
The chemical emissions that would be added to an already chemically saturated environment in this part of Scarborough is unacceptable. Alternative proposals that are far safer to the community have been tabled in the past and should be selected for the good of our children.
