I oppose the construction and operation of this facility in my neighborhood. I have lived in my home for 26 years which is approximately 1.5 km west of 633 Coronation Drive. My community is peaceful and quiet and this project with its significant amounts of heavy truck traffic would have significant negative impacts on the well being, health and safety of my family, my neighbors and my community on a daily basis. This project would create more toxic air pollution in my neighborhood, creating additional harmful impacts on the health of residents and the natural environment in the area, such as East Point Park. The small industrial part of Coronation Drive with its chemical factories and the Highland Creek Sewage Treatment plant already contribute to increased air pollution emissions in the neighborhood and increased risks of dangerous and toxic chemical spills, explosions (eg Sulfuric Acid leak into neighborhood, Nov 3, 2010) and chemical fires (eg. USE Hickson Chemical Fire April, 2010) It would be completely irresponsible to create another facility in the area that elevates the risk already present to the health of our community and its residents. I ask that this application and the accompanying application #019-1444 be rejected and that the applications be recommended to relocate to another site away from residential areas and away from sensitive ecological areas. In addition, a renewal energy approval REA, should be mandatory for these types of projects in Ontario. Thank you for your attention to this matter!
