Originally our small city offered curbside recycling to our bungalow style condos. Last year they discontinued it, despite more than 80% household compliance in our 24 units. Now all of our recyclables are put in the garbage. Making the manufacturers responsible for the costs of recycling would hopefully improve this situation but ultimately the recycle process must be easy for the public to use and less expensive for the taxpayers or it will not succeed.
