These proposed changed to the Endangered Species Act are extremely disheartening. It is quite clear that these changes are being made in favor of development and will undoubtedly be abused. If we truly lived in a democracy we should be able to vote on such an important matter rather then having a government using it's position of power to erode environmental protections in great contrast to the goals and science set out to protect Species at Risk.
