Our Township is very concerned about the broad-brush approach the has been applied to the recent provincial mapping exercises in relation tot he Growth Plan, as all of the land within our Township (and all of the County as well) has now been divided into only 3 categories: Agricultural, Natural Heritage and Settlement Areas. In particular, we are concerned about the identification of lands to the west of our settlement area of Everett, which have been included as settlement area in documents supported by Council since 2013 (and which we are currently trying to resolve with the Province). It appears the Province is now back to planning locally, but without the benefit of detailed local information.
