I’m concerned about the proposed extension of Site Specific Standards regarding ArcelorMittal Dofasco. I am concerned that the public input deadline is too close to the expiry of current site specific standards (SSSs), especially for Suspended Particulate Matter.
If this SSS is approved then that will be ostensibly no progress for 13 years. The Ministry should expect at least some effort towards meeting the Regulation in over of a decade. As a Hamiltonian I find this extremely disappointing.
