I am submitting the following on behalf of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI).
Attached is a letter that was submitted to Minister Clark on December 3rd, 2020 on the increased use of MZOs. The letter highlights some unintended consequences that may occur from such use and offers a few recommendations for consideration. We further offer assistance from OPPI as you work through this consultation process.
The Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) represents the planning profession in Ontario. It has the mandate to grant the RPP designation, govern the rights and responsibilities of its members - over 4,000 professional planners and more than 500 students - and set academic, experience and examination requirements for its members.
We would be happy to participate in further consultations and reviews as this initiative progresses.
