I would like to state that I am opposed to the Xinyi Glass plant locating in Stratford, Ontario.
The reasons for my opposition are as follows:
- poor air quality
- land that could be and should be used for agriculture will be lost
- use of our water supply and if two plants are eventually built even more water will be required
- traffic will be increased
This proposal was also done in secrecy between Xinyi and Stratford City Council, with no input from the citizens of Stratford.
So, for those reasons, I am opposed.
