The overwhelming requirement of the government is to address the climate crisis more effectively and more quickly. No further development of any existing green space can be allowed. Rather, we must squeeze all of our businesses and residences into existing areas of development and create sustainable communities. Farming must become more efficient with respect to land use, and as much existing farmland as possible must be converted to natural vegetation to sequester carbon and promote biodiversity.
