I am writing as a concerned resident living adjacent to the proposed site. I am strongly opposed to this site plan amendment for a number of reasons. The last thing this area needs and Uxbridge in general is another pit. If I am not mistaken this land falls under the ORMCP and as such any land alteration on Oak Ridge Moraine should be done to improve the environmental footprint and not reduce it. Also under the ORMP new uses and expanded existing uses are prohibited-are they not? It should not be allowed to be a permanent industrial site. The storage yard which was never approved should have been removed long ago yet it still exists...the MNRF needs to enforce the rules.
