This proposal is inappropriate and I wholly object. There is only one reason to approve this proposal: To increase Miller's profit line. There are many reasons to reject it:
1. Permits originally issued on conditions that the land would be returned to its natural state. Those conditions need to be respected and obeyed;
2. This sets extremely bad precedence for all existing/active quarries in the surrounding area;
3. Industrial waste is not an appropriate use of land so close to the town;
4. I personally live close to site #3 and my ONLY source of water is a well. The township will be held liable for water contamination if they choose to approve this proposal;
5. The township does not have the technical skills and expertise to monitor and enforce compliance at this site. Their only interest is a revenue stream and that presents a clear conflict of interest for the township of Uxbridge;
6. The residence of Uxbridge do not want this industrial business in our township. That alone should be sufficient to reject this proposal. Miller has repeatedly demonstrated non-compliance and approving this proposal will only encourage them to continue their illegal and non-compliant behaviours.
