I am a local resident and am extremely disappointed and concerned with the possible amendment to the the Miller Boyington Pit #3. This will, in no way, result in any positive outcomes for the Town of Uxbridge or the people who live close to this area. This pit borders several residential areas that should be protected. We will get nothing out of this - only Miller Paving has something to gain. This possible dumping will bring numerous negative effects to the area including: the potential for poisoning our local water table, disrupting the ecosystem and possible water course disruptions, noise pollution, increased wear on local roads, traffic in the area, and increased potential for motor vehicle accidents. I believe that if this amendment succeeds in passing it will greatly lower property values for all adjacent residential lands. Why allow such a one-sided deal that will set a precedent for other gravel pits in the area and on the protected Oak Ridges Morraine?!
