I am adamantly opposed to the application by Miller Paving to have part of their site removed from oversight by the Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry for the purpose of establishing illegal and ill-considered industrial operations on the site. The history of non-compliance by Miller Paving at this site has been blatant, and the company has run rough-shod over the permitted usages, and over the legitimate objections submitted over the years. This latest move is nothing but a ploy to put the site under supervision and direction of an administration (the Township of Uxbridge) that has neither the staff or the expertise to manage the issue. It's my belief that Miller Paving thinks they would then be able to run rough-shod over the Township, to once again have their way. The purposes they have planned for this site are clearly in contravention not only of license provisions, but also of environmental considerations, with potentially disastrous impact on aquifers below and the health of water supplies. Miller Paving has not been a good citizen of Uxbridge, and it's time to put a stop to their continual flaunting of both the law and public opinion.
