As a young person who grew up in the area, the future of the Oak Ridges Moraine is incredibly important to me. The increase of trucks in and around the area will, without a doubt, have detrimental impact on the environment. Not to mention the ethics of the situation, what kind of message does it send to have a company that skirted environmental regulations granted permits? What precedent would that set for future businesses who seek the same privileges?
