This site is listed as an approved spreading site for MacGregor Concrete Products (Beachburg) Limited.
This site and the other site on Davidson road at the same address 168 Davidson Road (Beachburg)EBR registry number 013-2931 are inactive. This Company spreads all the raw sewage on one site, presently. The site this company's trucks have dumped on for years is EBR registry number 013-2927.
This company has 4 sites approved and only spread on one. Excessive amounts of raw sewage is being spread on the 1444 Zion Line site (013-2927) for over 30 years. It appears they are spreading this large amount of raw sewage over 4 sites, but in fact it is going onto one site. The sewage is coming to this one site from a large geographical region including Quebec. Waterways and marsh land that is habitat for wildlife and aquatic creatures surround this site. There is a slope exceeding 9% on the property. There is no signs posted or fencing as required on the Renfrew County Official Plan or MECP guidelines. Excess concrete from numerous trucks daily enter this site to dump the cement into a large hole in the land. Some of the sewage that is being dumped contains plastic. Raw sewage contains many other contaminants.
Who is responsible for clean up of this property in later years when it changes ownership.
The Sewage Treatment Plant in the area has indicated they now have the capacity to hand all the raw sewage in the region. Why not have this raw sewage taken directly to be treated at the Treatment Plant and then the biosolids are spread in a more controlled manner.
Greg Davis, or his staff of the Ottawa MECP has been monitoring this site for may years and can verify that the 019-3682 site is inactive. This property 019-3682 should not be included as a total amount of square meters in use, in Approval guidelines under #14 , 15 litres per square meter per 7 days for the 013-2927. How can so many sewage trucks going to this one address be within the MECP guidelines.
Another approved site is EBR registry number 013-3014 it is located directly behind 013-2927 Approved site and just a short distance down the road from the 01-3682 Approved site. It seems like an excessive amount of Approved sites so close to waterways in a small area.
