Development of the protected lands in the Moraine is short sighted and dangerous and will just increase non sustainable urban sprawl while lining the pockets of connected developers. The environment is a non renewable and important resource for the population of Toronto, now and into the future. The way this proposal was pushed without public input and with no appeal process or oversight is deceitful, and dangerous as the consequence will be negative and long lasting. The selling of public lands should have no connection with those in power. Affordable housing is needed and can be built in other areas, our precious environmental treasures should not be sacrificed.
