The Ford government is planning to create a development in the green belt. The public is not going to stand idly by. Upon previous overviews of his policy, he has stated in years past that the green belt/ conservation areas would be protected. This new amendment to the green belt plan is unjustifiable. Ontarians need healthcare, education, climate action, and affordable housing. The green belt development will address none of the issues stated above, as he plans to make more houses for those wealthy enough to afford it. By demolishing our green belt we will be killing our ecosystem and affecting our climate. This is an educational read for anyone interested in the matter. Especially for those with the authority to confront this atrocity.

Ontarians are already suffering with the price hikes, our collapsing healthcare, and education system, and high rent. Don’t add this to the growing list of issues we need to face.

As someone who is living paycheque to paycheque, to provide rent, utilities, food and gas, I will not stand idly by and have my taxes be funnelled into this money scheme that Ford is planning. If housing is his main concern, there are abandoned lots/ offices/ homes all across Ontario.
