I am devastated to hear of this proposal. I live directly next to the oak ridges moraine and could not begin to imagine the effect this type of development would have on the region. While I understand that Doug Fords priorities are to make his developer friends more money, that doesn’t reflect the needs of most Ontarians. We have many crises affecting us today and this blatant profit grab is yet another to add to the pile. Without a plan to provide housing to those that most need it this amendment would do nothing but continue to line the pockets of the already wealthy while having a devastating impact on the wildlife and ecosystems this greenbelt protects.
