This is a short-sighted way to build new homes in which the people who benefit the most are the developers who have already bought this land and will make enormous profits.

What are the plans for accessible public transit, hospitals, and schools that will be included in these massive sprawling areas?

What are the price points of the homes being built along the greenbelt? Will they be accessible to people who are currently struggling to get into the market?

How does developing on the green belt as opposed to all the other vast swaths of land available benefit the public?

These are the questions that have not been answered. It seems that many municipalities have answered these questions, as well as how to grow to meet housing demands, but the government is taking away the choice of the people living within these communities. More sprawl in the GTA is not the answer to housing problems.
